Trainer Profile:

Mr. Mahbub Alam is one of the most reputed, experienced & competent Environment, Chemical & Wastewater Management system practitioners in Bangladesh. He is also SAC Approved Higg FEM 3.0 (SAC241) Trainer & Verifier (General & Chemical Specialist) in the country. Currently he is a Vice President of Bangladesh Institute of EHS Professionals (BIEP). During his 10 years’ career in Environment, Chemical & Waste Management System arena, he worked in 100% export-oriented garments manufacturers.

He closely works with GIZ, DOE, BGMEA, EHS Plus center, IUBAT ETP Training Center & PRI. Now he is working with a multinational company as a Consultant on Chemical, Wastewater & Environmental Management developer. Mr. Alam, a Post Graduate Degree holder in Chemistry, has developed a wide range of skills in the field of ETP operations & process control, Chemical, Environment and Occupational Health & Safety management system in different garments industries.

He has the working experience & sound knowledge on IEE, EMP, TOR, EIA, REMC (Resource Efficient Management of Chemicals), CP (Cleaner Production), PaCT (Partnership for Cleaner Production) program, 3R (Reduce, Re-use & Recycling) Strategy, 3-TG (tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold) Conflict Minerals Program, CPI2 (Carbon performance improvement initiative), ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals), BCMP (Best Chemical Management Practices), SCM (Sustainable Chemical Management), Higg FEM 3.0, EIMS (Environmental Impact Measuring Software), LID (Low Impact Denim), TREES (Toward Resource Efficiency and Environmental Sustainability), STWI (Sweden Textile Water Initiative), PURE project, STeP Certification  & Clean Chain for C&A as a pilot project.

He has successfully completed Lead Auditor certification course on ISO- 14001:2015, BS OHSAS-18001:2007 and Internal Auditor SA-8000. Mr. Alam also received around 40 certificates on various topics related to environmental sustainability, sustainable development, ZDHC Chemical Management, waste water, ETP operation & process control, sludge, solid waste management, carbon footprint & environmental compliance from home & abroad.
